Subject: Peak era

August 1999 was a very special time for Phil and his pals, for a short time including Steve Kimock. Three new recordings from this time have just been upped to Archive, and they are all a nice upgrade from the copies that have been here all this time.

the shows are great and though they are from different tapers the sound is a little cleaner, a little more midrange magic, a little more definition in the bass than previous copies.

And SK,I guess it was not meant to be but this band smokes anything since Jerry....

We will probably never see soundboards, and with recordings like these, who cares?

Just wish there were some 24 bit.....
